Facilities

Dubai First School boasts a range of facilities and services for its students, which are also constantly expanding.

School Facilities

• Science Labs (separate Physics, Chemistry and Biology labs)
• Library for English and Arabic books
• An all-purpose hall with telescopic seating can be used for P.E activities, drama productions and school presentations.
• Three large Computer Labs for primary, girls and boys, respectively.
• Two separate canteens for boys and girls provide healthy snacks for students.
• A Clinic supervised by a general doctor and a full time nurse.

Safety/Security Measures

To provide safety and security the school ensures the following:

• The presence of security guards at the front gates.
• Use of identity cards to pass through corridors in school.
• The identity of visitors should be known.
• Students are not allowed to leave the school premises without the school Principal's permission.
• Teachers are on duty to monitor the students at all times.
• Annual fire drills are conducted.
• A team from the Civil Defense gives presentations to the students on an annual basis.

Medical Facilities

The school:

• Maintains a medical record on every student
• Conducts a primary check-up for all students
• Gives required vaccinations and conducts follow-up examinations under the supervision of the Ministry of Health
• Administers medication to students where necessary
• Does not allow students to bring medicine to school unless accompanied with a recommendation letter from the parents, which should include details about the child's condition
• Transports the student to hospital in the case of serious illness/injury, after informing the parent/guardian

Please note that, at the time of registration, the school authorities must be notified about any medical history of a child that needs special attention, such as heart disease, allergies, asthma, etc

Educational Services

The school offers:

• Extra tutorial classes for students after school hours in Arabic, English and Math.
• Additional classes for students of higher grades.

University Services for graduates

We will assist our Grade 12 students in University/college placement.
